spending money
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hi everyone,
I am currently planning a trip to Culebra for April 2013, and am in the process of looking at the financial aspects. I am finding great deals on airfare and guest houses for groups. The biggest question is, what is the cost of everyday activities like in Culebra? Does the dollar go a long way?

Thank you!

How long will you be there for and will you be doing your own cooking?

We're flying in tomorrow, picking up the rental car then staying in Old San Juan Sat night. Sunday morning we're heading to Fajardo to try to catch the ferry. It's vacation so we're just going to get there are out leisure. If we make the ferry, that's great, if not, we're going to stay Sun night in Fajardo and catch the ferry Monday Morning. While in Culebra, we're going to camp at Flamenco till Thursday night. We're bringing the basic camping gear..well what we can fit in our packs. Then Friday night back in Old San Juan, leaving for home Saturday evening.

We're hoping to get most of our food at the kiosks at flemenco. If they're not open we'll probably do most of our cooking at the campsites. I'm sure we will want to go out a couple of nights and eat in town.

We packed a few of those prepared camping meals, just in case we're stuck at the campsite and can't get into town, or the kiosks are closed.

We can't wait. This time tomorrow we should be taking off from the airport :)
