While the best views are certainly on the hills by Zoni, etc., there are places near town that have relatively nice views. Check the location of the various rental properties -- if you are up on a hill you will have better views and breezes to help keep away the mosquitoes. For example, Casa Culebra is quiet and close to town (walking distance to Susie's for adults and teenagers) but has a nice view of Ensenada Honda and town from the large deck. Unfortunately the wart that is Costa Bonita kinda messes up the view in one direction, but I spent a lot of time just sitting on the deck with a cold drink watching boats coming and going.
