Anyone hiring year round

So, I am in love with culebra and have seriously considered leaving my fed. government job, packing up and moving to culebra for a while now...so anyone on the island hiring for year round work?

you should only go if you can get a leave of absence. its romantic to think about living in the caribbean, but the reality isn't always appealing. it depends on the person.
and leaving a govt job in this economy isnt a chance you take without knowing what you are getting into.

It would be pretty difficult to find a year-round, stable job on Culebra. Most people I know work 2 or 3 jobs to get to 40 hours just to get by. The island is pretty empty August through October.

Just remember, everything thing is three times harder down there than back in the states. It's a nice place for vacation but living there year around sounds like a whole other ordel. And let me tell you about the Saharah dust in June! It was a killer!!

I am trying to get a Federal Job so I can move to Culebra or Puerto Rico. I would recommend staying with the Feds and transferring to Fish and Wildlife. I think the government is the number one employer in Culebra. By the way can you hook me up with a Fed job?
