Brava and Resaca

We love hiking to Brava, the beach is so beautiful. But it has a reputation for being unsafe for swimming...some locals have even told us that children should never swim there.

Is this the prevailing sentiment, and are there any areas of Brava and Resaca that are safe to swim? Is it dangerous to swim to the small island off the western end of Brava? Is there good beach fishing there?

Finally, what is the right place to park to hike to Resaca?
