If you are not sure if you would use it again, I would rent. There are several places which rent, one is the Dive Shop at the ferry dock. We were going to rent some equipment for visitors last year and when we looked at their rental equipment it looked to be in fairly decent shape. We didn't end up renting at all so I can't tell you how it turned out.
