Moving to Culebra
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hi all,
I am new to the forum and hoping to get some help from all you Culebra experts. I am a woman and my teenage daughter and I are considering moving to Culebra in a year or so. First of all, do you think it is safe? Secondly, is there enough on the island to live or does one need to go to the mainland often to get groceries, etc.? And last, are there ANY jobs on Culebra?
Thanks for your help!!

Hi!Culebra is just great!! no need to do grocery shopping in the big island.
but if you need a tv or bed or a car you need to go to PR.
I heard that on tweeter there is jobspuertorico site where some jobs in Culebra are posted.
If you have a trade it is easier--most people are self employed--as far as I know.

Hmm, have you been to Culebra yet? If not, might want to visit first.

Patricia, few jobs and fewer long term rentals. Absolutely visit for a week to 10 days and talk to everyone you can and get their story and opinion. Check out my rentals at Casa Mango in the shelter section $$. The 2 bedroom at HomeAway.com #188167 would suit your needs. Good luck.
