Bio-bay Tours
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hi, all ....

Headed to Culebra next weekend (staying at Mamacita's) and would really like to take a tour of the bio-luminescent bays which I believe are located near Vieques. What is the best tour company/person to book my plans through? Do they have a website/email address?

Thanks for your help! And for those who will be in Culebra next weekend and are looking to grab a few drinks, I will try to be in contact soon!

Thanks!!
Jen

Camping at Flamenco 4-10 then ferry to vieques via Fajardo. Will do bio-bay either of the next two nights. Just after new moon (ideal). I've done it myself. Either walk or kayak from Bananas. Doing it alone at night is not for the faint of heart. Will visit during daytime to get lay familiar.
Find tours easily on the vieques forum.

There are a couple of ways to do this, but you will have to spend a night on Vieques, either way. You can take the ferry/plane from Culebra to Fajardo/Ceiba and then catch the ferry/plane from Fajardo/Ceiba to Vieques. You can do the reverse the next day to get from Vieques back to Culebra.
This is the link to Island Adventures
http://www.biobay.com/cd/webhtml/rcontact.htm. This is a wonderful tour on a battery powered pontoon after a bumpy bus ride back to the biobay. They also use a laser pointer and point out all the constellations. If you stay in Esperanza for the night, they will pick you up there on the malecon in the bus on the way the biobay. You will also be able to walk easily to Sun Bay from Esperanza. Have a wonderful trip. We have made the biobay trip with Island Adventures 3 times and it was truly magical.
