Is there a market that sells fresh fish on Culebra? And where is the best place to buy bottles of wine and rum? Thanks again for all the info everyone is sharing.

Not sure on that fresh fish market. Booze at Milka's and El Eden; and others I'm sure but those two are close.

There isn't necessarily a fresh fish market, but there is a place to buy fresh fish. At the beginning of the street that Mamacita's is on, right past the corner, there is a gate with a sign that says Fresh Fish. On the ground floor of the building is the Galeria de Regalos gift shop. The sign will say when they are open, not sure if there are set hours. If they are, just go in and go up. They are a very nice couple and the guy free dives to catch everything he sells.

Wine and rum can be bought at the above mentioned Milka's and El Eden, both having a good selection. You can also get some more limited options at the gas station (at the ferry dock) and Costa del Sol Market by the airport.

Have fun!

Sue

fresh goes to the restaurants first, what's left gets soon frozen at the markets. still good. still works on a hunker down cautious mentality. those of you from the Northern States can relate surely.

best I had was at Tina's and that did taste fresh. BTW who runs that now?
