It is normally a 15 minute drive. An you avoid the old San Juan traffic since airport is on other side of bay. There may be a slight delay but if you are in cab by 4pm you should have no problem.

I would take your cell phone and if for some reason traffic is backed up, just call VAQ and they will probably hold plane for you (if you are polite).
