I have never been to vVeques, and your post does little to entice me further.
I just know that Vieques has a reputation for crime, perhaps undeservedly, and I don't want Culebra to slip into that mode.
If I offended you I apologize, because I know, as I approach seventy, that we all treasure and tend to defend our turf. Please accept my errant reference, if it was that.
But, back to Culebra: thuggery has no place on the island, and beatings of the sort can escalate and spread quickly. I just trust that the local police have a handle on things, and if they do not, that they will.
Mine was a simple expression, and so quickly calling someone a jerk for making a comment, well...
