Hotel Kokomo is located right across the street from the Ferry Dock..It has simple accomodations and you should have no problem getting a reservation for one night.
I know you can rent bikes on the island..do a search as this question has been addressed..

There is no such thing as a bad vacation. Some are just better than others.
