Dana, don't worry - all will be fine and you will find a place not only for your head :)

Flamenco is the place to start out. It gives one the right perspective. Tending bar or such can give you some cash, so you don't deplete the kitty.

Forget trying to set things up in advance. Face to face you will get way further. A lot people do not check their email or even have an address. And that's a good thing :)
