True that Tamarindo and Rosario are usually quite calm, but she has a toddler. I don't think I'd want to do that hike with a toddler. Plus those beaches aren't as sandy and rock-free as Flamenco.

For snorkeling, though, the opposite is true. Definitely worth the effort.
