Kayaking to Luis Pena is very weather/tide dependent, from everything I've read. Best to work with Jim at Barbra Rosa's on the particulars, once you're there. If it's judged not to be an option, a water taxi drop-off and pick-up is easily arranged. I've done this several times with great results: octopi, moray, small nurse shark, cleaning stations and more. Pack a lunch and a cooler, and you have an all-day adventure, sometimes all to yourself.
