The 24th and 25th my fiance (then wife :) ) will be in Culebra. We are spending the rest of our honeymoon in Luquillo, but decided to head over to Culebra and enjoy the atmosphere that I've read so much about. I've done much research and Culebra sounds like an incredible place to be. I have one final question, we plan to fly from Fajardo to Culebra, is it possible to buy the airfare in advance. I see that most of the flight services are on demand, but I want to guarantee that we can fly the day we need to as I've already made accomadations on Culebra. Thanks for all the great insight into Culebra. Without this forum, I'm not sure if we'd even be going there. :)

Air Flamenco 787-724-1818
Yes, call and make reservations, if they don't answer, keep calling. I found that around 10:30 am is a good time.

Just in case ...

If you went to their website and filled out the "reservation" form, chances are you did not "make arrangements". At least that has been my experience. You have to call them at 787-724-1818!!

Hi Robert,
Go to the Dinghy Dock or Mamacita's and have breakfast! Then call or go ahead and see if they will let you in early...chances are they will. Or you can head to the beach, it's gorgeous.. or just walk around. Most people you encounter will speak English but it never hurts to start with Hola and end with a Gracias. You will have a wonderful time, we can almost guarantee that. Or go to the grocery store...let's see, what else? Relax...........

Hi Robert,

Did you book a round-trip flight with Air Flamenco? Make sure you hold on to your ticket stub you'll be given in Fajardo for the return flight.

When I picked up my ticket in Fajardo, I was not told to keep the ticket stub by the man in Fajardo. During my 3 week stay in Culebra I disposed of the stub so when I flew out from Culebra I was told I had to buy another ticket. Even though I had a return reservation that was paid for and my name was in their computer in Culebra to fly out on a specific flight - I had to buy another ticket.

At the time when I bought that return ticket, I was told by the airline representative (in Culebra and also in Fajardo after the flight) that I would get 'credit' for the re-purchase when I flew Air Flamenco in the coming year. In dealing with the airline through the phone and by e-mail since last February '08 - I cannot get this in writing.

I remain a dis-gruntled customer. Hold on to your ticket stubs!!!

Owlihoot,

Sorry you had that experience. Flying from Isla Grande, they have always been very good about telling passengers that the stub must be retained, and have even told us that we would have to purchase a ticket if we lost it. I agree, it does not make sense to charge for the loss since they have your name and reservation in the computer.

Happy Diving!
Debbie
