tamarindo transport rental

We are thinking about staying at tamarindo estates, and were wondering if it would be possible to rent a scooter for the week, or if there would be any limitations compared to having a jeep, etc. We have read that the road to the condos is pretty rough, anyone who has been there or from culebra have any advice on transportation? We were trying to avoid the hassle of driving a jeep/car all over, when that is what we do everyday to and from work.

The roads heading out to Tamarindo Estates are very rough, hilly and rocky; I would not recommend you taking a scooter. An SUV will be the best transportation for this road. But, once you get to the estate, their roads are paved. I hope this help.

WE are the people that rents scooters, and is true the road of Tamarindo is very rough to ride in scooters. WE also are an agency of Thrifty Car Rental, we have brand new jeeps wrangler 4x4, 6 cilinders, automatic; also we have minivan (town & country).
