I think Ambergris Caye is quite quaint, but I don't know that I would want to live there. It's flat, and one would have to be right on the water (i.e., sea level, can you say "flood") in order to have a water view. The streets are all sand, and there are not many cars. There are really great restaurants. The official language of Belize is English. So, I can see some reasons why people would be drawn there. Me? I favor another quaint island. :)
