We always rent from Carlos, but not because we enjoy driving a "showy" car while on Culebra. (Is that even possible haha)
We have always found the people at Carlos Jeep Rental extremely friendly and pleasant to deal with. If we've had a problem with the vehicle they bend over backwards to make sure we're happy. Last time I was on the island there was a rock stuck in a wheel making a horrendous screeching noise and Carlos himself took the time to take the wheel apart and fix the problem. We have never found them to be "persnickety" in regards to the vehicles condition upon return ... and my kids usually make sure they are not in perfect condition.
BTW, I have heard nothing but great things about Jerry and his Jeeps also. In my opinion, you can't go wrong at either place! Doug is correct that Jerry's are a bit cheaper in price but more "used" and Carlos are a bit more in price but "newer".
Folks will find both places wonderful to deal with 99% of the time!
