The only good snorkeling that I am aware of on culebrita is in the baths. We didn't even use fins in the baths. We snorkeled off the opposite side from tortuga while waiting for our water taxi...it really didn't see much there. The beach is very calm and very beautiful.

There is no such thing as a bad vacation. Some are just better than others.

Yen, all depends on the winds - when there, ask the locals which beach would be calm on that particular day!

Enjoy Culebra!

The Culebrita beach is well protected. But the snorkeling is not nearly as good as Carlos Rosario or Tamarindo, in my opinion, and those beaches are virtually always very calm.

Flamenco has wide sections that are protected by the reef and are very calm.

the best snorkling spot in culebra i think is melones beach. you swim to the right from where you enter the water. lots of coral and clear water. waters always been calm there for me but check 1st just in case. i have only been there in september

And that's why when we were there last year for two months we only got to Flamenco twice and Carlos Rosario once. The rest of the time we snorkelled at Melones every other day. Much easier to get to.
