No reservation needed for Playa Flamenco?
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hello! I just called the office at Playa Flamenco and was told that I don't need reservations? Does this seem okay to you? I'm going over Memorial Day weekend... so I'm thinking that it might be pretty busy then.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks again!

I went over Memorial day weekend once, got there on a Thursday or Friday. We had reservations for lodging only and we got the last jeep available anywhere by going from place to place (and it had to be repaired before we could take it). by Saturday the island was fairly busy. Sunday it was packed (for there) one couple at Dinghy who had missed the last ferry (maybe Dinghy was the reason) were scrounging around for a place to stay. after a few hours of phone calls they managed to come up with something. that year there was only the one ATM by the ferry and it was drained by Saturday afternoon with no scheduled re-stock until Tuesday or Wednesday.

hope that helps.

There is always room for one more tent. I don't think they ever turn people away from the campground. Has anyone heard differently?

this couple were errant daytrippers. But I've always wondered what might really stop one from just snoozing on the beach itself...

(assuming respect for the fragility of the fauna)
