we biked to zoni from culebra island villas... it was quite a bit in the humidity and i can't tell you enough to bring plenty of water. My girlfriend at i walked to flamenco... and you could easily walk to rosario from there. we walked to resaca as well. there's not an easy way of driving there anyway. we started off to soldado but never made it down there.. it wasn't far though.
also, i would suggest a jeep. i thought scooters would be great at first, but it's nice to be able to take bags with you in the car.
