Really enjoyed reading the previous "Now and then" and as always when I read descriptions of Culebra as it is now I'm totally amazed.
Taxis?? Buses and jewelry stores??? Not in "our" Culebra!
Never will I forget the incredible beauty of Flamenco when my friend and I awoke in a borrowed tent (from one of the local policemen that we met on the ferry ) our first morning in our paradise.Went to Culebra with intentions of staying 4 days...stayed a year!!!!
Back in 1988-89 there were no tourists, 2 grocery stores and a handfull of bars (mmm still dream of Chuck's pizza slices...)
BUT anyway, get me started and I go on forever....
So my main question: Willy?? WILLY!!!???? Is that you??? My old "boss", "landlord" and friend???
Made any chimichangas lately???
