Doug, the problem was nobody spoke english--or at least they acted like they did not. Do you know if they really do not? There were like 10 people speaking spanish, and we did not understand a word of it, some random guy was translating for us, as good as he could. But we still do not know if they understood anything
and, again, it is not grounds for arrest in Puerto Rico-punching in the face is not. and the guy told police that my husband attacked him, thats why he punched me (at least that what the translator said). Anyway, we could not really do much, considering that we were going back to the US the next day and we did not speak the languagem did not have any witnesses
We learned the hard way that when you are travelling, you better learn how to protect yourself.
