I don’t know if it would be easier to fish the flats with a kayak, but I do know that many people rent our motorboats for that purpose. One advantage is clear....it would be faster to move between the various flats with a motorboat. Another advantage of a motorboat over a kayak is that you can stand up in a motorboat. This gives you a much better view of the flats and the bonefish.
In addition to life jackets, bimini, cooler, and a cell phone, our motorboats are equipped with a laminated chart showing the locations of the flats, a fish rod holder, and a push pole for working your way over the flats.
