Docking?
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hi,

I recently moved back to Puerto Rico after 10 years in Texas and just purchased a 20ft. walkaround. As you can imagine I can not wait to make Culebra my little secret getaway. I was wondering if anyone would recommend any rental properties with acces to a dock? And I was wondering how safe is it for non-locals boats being docked, specially overnight?

Roots, Rock, Reggea, Sand, Sun, Beach.....I am Back baby!!!!

thanks

Enrique

Enrique I have been visiting Culebra for over 20 years, I'm temporarily with out a boat. I can tell you I have left my vessels many ocassions overnight and overnights and have never experienced any problem.
You may find places to rent with a dock, however thay are very expensive.

If you know the area well there are beatiful places that can only be reached by boat.
I used to have a business, ttransporting tourists and people from Fajardo to Culebra and Vieques. Vieques, on the other hand is not secure for overnight boats.

Villa Boheme and Casa Ensenada come to mind! Also Casa Espada and Tati's, on the other side of the bay! - check out the shelter section, it will give you an overview of who has a dock and how much they charge!

Enjoy Culebra!

Michael
