Crowded ferries in February?
Culebra, Puerto Rico

A group of us is doing Vieques with a small stay in Culebra. We're very excited about Flamenco Beach, but after reading through the forum, are worried about crowded ferries. A friend of ours is very afraid of small aircraft, so ferry is our only option.

We've read that there are no ferries between Culebra and Vieques (a shame, really) so we are planning on going through Fajardo to the other island.

My question is: Theoretically, if we leave Vieques at 630am on Friday (Feb 20th) morning, would we be able to get on the 9am ferry to Culebra, or would it be too crowded? And is there any way to reserve tickets?

I'm worried about doing the 630am ferry to Fajardo, and then waiting all day there to reach Culebra. Are there any water taxis that can take us to Culebra from Vieques, or is that too far?

Thanks in advance
