Ferry from/to Fajardo

Hi,
I've got some questions about the ferry to and from Culebra. How long is the crossing? Leaving, is it reasonable to expect to depart on the 6:30 am ferry to Fajardo, get a taxi to San Juan International Airport, and make it in time for a 10:00 flight out? If that doesn't work, can I make arrangements from Culebra to get a flight to Fajardo for the taxi? Is the ferry schedule posted on this web site still accurate? Thanks for this forum; I've never been to Puerto Rico, but already I love Culebra and wish I was staying longer than a week.

The ferry normally takes around 90 minutes ... but that varies depending on sea conditions ... and of course whether it leaves on time! The biggest problem with your plan (as I see it) is that once you get to Fajardo (8:00am), you get a taxi (60 minute ride) and arrive at SJU at 9:00am. That's if EVERYTHING goes well. (No ferry delay, no traffic etc). That gives you scant time to check baggage and forget it if there is a line at security.

Check with Air Flamenco or MNAviation on flying to Fajardo or even Isla Grande (15 minute cab ride from SJU)
