Camping Anyone? Just got back!

Just wanted to share my camping experience with anyone who wants to do this in the future. WE HAD A GREAT TIME! I recommend this to anyone who likes camping. The manager, Henry and his crew were so wonderful. The beach was out of this world and the people are so kind. It rained quiet a bit when we were there but had nice sunny afternoons and one whole day of great sunshine, have the suntan to prove it. We took a water taxi (Culebra Water Toys), that last day and saw the Island and went snorkeling.

Had a great spot at the camp site. Right behind the beach. The showers were outdoors and the bathrooms were very clean. They let you recharge anything you need in the office (we brought a fan), during the day. Went to the store for odds and ends that we needed. Prices were more the regular, since the locals shop there too.

If anyone has any questions please let me know. We asked lots of questions for next time, because I know for sure that we are going back real soon.

Hi,
are you talking about the campgroung at flamenco beach?
If so, I'd appreciate any information about it because i'm going there on january and i'm planning to camp there.
Any other information you might think of will be also welcome.
Thanks

Hi Frances,
I'm planning to camp at Flamenco in February. Not sure what questions to ask, so if you have any useful info I'd appreciate your advice.

Here are some questions I have:
How were the mosquitos?
Is there a locker to put our valuables while we're on the beach?
I'm flying into San Juan Luis Marin International Airport and not sure how we're getting to Culebra, probably taking a plane to the island or perhaps a taxi to Fajardo and then the ferry. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for your advice,
Elizabeth

I've never camped there, but if you'll scroll through the archives of this forum, you'll find extensive information about it.

Good Luck,
Doug
