When to Visit?

What months are the best times to visit Culebra? I was thinking about April or May are those good choices. I heard that May tends to be a rainy month is this true? Any info would be great!! Thanks

We visited in October. We pretty much had the island to ourselves except for the weekends. A lot of people from PR come and spend the weekend.

The weather was great & we did a lot of diving/eating/diving & did I mention eating?

There are good and bad aspects to any given time of year to visit. It helps to know what you enjoy, to give an adequate answer.

I've visited in May, and since that is past the winter 'high' season, lodging, rentals, and services are not taxed by the crowds that come from Thanksgiving to Easter. It is possible to visit the remote beaches in the off-season and be the only ones.

On the downside it was HOT, and the tradewinds were mostly calm. Since the antidote for that was swimming, snorkling, and Presidente beer, we didn't find it a problem.

Yeah, I am trying to set a wedding date and the honeymoon is a big part of that. I just want to make sure that late April early May is a good time to visit Culebra. Mostly we would be relaxing on the beach, swimming, snokerling, the usual stuff. I am from Texas so the heat isn't really an issue, its been 100 plus all week.

If you want to relax and enjoy nature ( HONEYMOON) dont come after March, that is when the season of the American & Europian finish and start the noise of the Puertorrican people............

Never come in Eastern............That holiday belong to the Puerto Rico and the kids are out of school..........

Pues sepa que Culebra pertenece a P.R. a nadie mas.

Kathryn, May and April tend to be rainy months, but it is not that bad.
And in the tropics, anything can happen at any time.
In winter, there are cold fronts comming from the north, and it gets rainy too.
I it was me, anytime except July, and upon a storm warning.

as the cap says, anything can happen.
i was there in october and it rained almost everyday.
however, it is nice to see the clouds coming
and rain did not stopped me from having fun.

if you take care of where to sleep,
you do not have to worry about anything else.
