Please, be more specific in what areas you need help ... lodging? rent car -- yes/no? what's your budget? duration? ....

Enjoy Culebra!

Well, we need help in almost everything. We want to try and take the trip May 25th-June 1. We will be leaving from Orlando. Would we need to go to San Juan first or is there a closer airport? I know that you can't just go straight there. Is it better to take the ferry over or fly over? We will spend the money to fly there since we have the baby and all. Which ever is better for her. Our budget is around the $3000 range. But, flexable. We aren't sure about the rental jeep. Also, we might have two other people come with us. So, would a rental house be better? I was thinking of going to a travel agent, but, I was't sure if they would even know anything. I just want to make sure that when we arrive i am not sitting around for 2 days on the main land of PR waiting for a way to get to Culebra or waiting around for a hotel. With a baby, you kinda have to have everything worked out. Thanks for the help!!

You fly from San Juan with Isla Nina airlines but there is limited seating and you must book ahead. Take an hour and do some reading on this website.....there are very good posts which will answer all your questions. Dont take the ferry with a baby if you can afford to fly.....unless you like 90 minute cab rides followed by a potentially sea-sick two hour ferry. Our flight took 18 minutes last month.

The flying to PR and then Culebra is the easy part, as you can fly from the intl. airport to Culebra.
As far as I know, the flights to Culebra are suspended when sun light is gone for the day. That is an important detail when planning your getting to Culebra the same day.
For the lodging, search well this forum, make your calls, and complete your plans. There are good houses for rent near Zoni beach, beautiful place, the prices are high, but I think it is worth when staying for over five days.
If you decide Zoni, you will need a car or jeep, since it is some time away from comercial activity. When looking for the house, ask for facilities, specially water reserve. For groceries, you will find most of your needs in the island.
I may not agree with Jeff about the baby, if it was my baby, I'd choose the ferry right away, however, the time on the plane is less than 15 minutes ( from Fajardo ), the ferry will not take more than 70 minutes, on fair/normal conditions.
Nice stay...
