Thank you for the advice, Sr. Guzman. I have not had any luck getting a flight though. The lady at Isla Nena told me that they don't have a pilot for the date I need and to try again later. I guess that's what "on demand" means! ;)
I don't mind taking the ferry if it is reliable so that I know I will have a way to get to Vieques on the date I wish to go. It seems that it only leaves once a day in the evening, so timing is not great, but I do not need to go round trip, just one way.
On another thought, are there private water taxis or guys with boats that I can bargain with to take passengers between the two islands?
