Nude Policies
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hey All

Not trying to sound crude, but curious what the policies are for being nude on the beaches in Culebra. I'm sure lots of the beaches are family oriented and frown on nudity, but are there any spots that cater to the nude? Or is it against the law on Culebra.

Thanks.

xxx

I know it is not legal on Flamenco nor recommended. That is the tourist, family type beach. On weekdays you can usually go to the far end of zoni and you can disrobe. If you really want privacy you can take the steep hike down to rasaka or a short hike to brava beach and you will probably be the only one there expecially rasaka. Have fun!

I'm also interested as I will be there in the spring. What about the private homes with the five acre zoning and private beach?

All beaches in Puerto Rico are, by constitutional decree, public domain. Therefore all nudity, or topless sunbathing by females, is forbidden, under penalty of law, at all beaches.

If you rent a property that says it has a private beach is problably a private acces to the beach not a private beach. You migth want to rent one with a private pool, if you can get it, and do as you wish in the privacy of the rental unit.

If you still want to offend the law, who wouldnt, i suggest you get to the more secluded or off shore beaches in culebra on the weekdays. The guard in Flamenco is kind of strict so i would suggest not do it at this beach.

Also hanging around twon in your bathing suit or without a shirt is forbidden, so watch out for the cops. If you look hard enough you could find a private spot of your own.

Enjoy your trip

Daniel
