Fantastic Stay at Culebra Beach Villas
Culebra, Puerto Rico

I am from Indiana, but have been living in Puerto Rico for the past 3 years. I took my first trip to Culebra and stayed at Culebra Beach Villas in July of this year. I just wanted to post here what a great experience I had. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone trying to decide which hotel to stay at on Culebra.

The hotel room that we had (1-C in the main building) was great. It had a kitchen with a full size refridgerator and sitting area with sofa. It had a front patio with table and chairs. There was an air-conditioner in the bedroom that worked all too well. The place was freezing before we knew it and we turned it off!

The hotel is not new and does not have all of the amenities of a larger, resort hotel, but it is right on the beach!! The hotel was very quiet, safe and clean (no bugs!) and the staff was very courteous. Even allowing us to check-in early so that we could get straight to the beach.

The hotel sits right on Flamenco beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches that I have ever seen. (And I have seen a lot!) It is white sand and clear-blue water. It was exactly what you think of when you think of the ideal Caribbean beach. And best, it was deserted!! We had it entirely to ourselves for 2 days.

There are other hotels closer to town, but they are not beachfront. I liked it better to be at the beach and drive when we needed to go into town as opposed to the other way around. When we arrived at Culebra the rental car place picked us up from the ferry dock and drove us to get our rental car and from there we drove a short distance to the hotel. Everything is so close and easy. When I go back to Culebra there is no doubt that I will stay at the Culebra Beach Villas again.

Hope you love Culebra as much as I do!

Gretchen, how far is it to walk to town? We will be staying there over Xmas. Also, did you fly or take the ferry? If you flew, can you recommend an air carrier?
