Hello,
I am travelling soon, Feb 8-13, to Culebra for a camping trip. I am travelling with my sister, her three year old, as well as my one year old. Additionally, Im five months pregnant. The camping lifestyle does not deter us, even with the children, however, now that we've booked the flights we're hearing about zika virus.
Zika can cause very severe brain deformities in fetuses in the mother is infected. We read on the CDC page that Puerto Rico has had 18 confirmed cases since the first reported one in December 15.
I was curious if someone could give me info of any cases having been confirmed on Culebra. Or at least, what the mosquito pressure is like there. Being breezy doesn't always mean bug free, but Im hoping it helps.
