Last minute trip - HELP please :)

Hey All,

I find myself coming to culebra almost on impulse. Something happened to my vacation time at work (use it or lose it) so I find myself with a ticket to culebra in hand.

I'm not even sure where to start from there though. I'll be arriving 5pm~ on Saturday the 12th. I'm interesting in camping and would like to pitch tent. Aside from that I'd love to get in on the sea kayaking, snorkeling, diving and whatever else I find myself into.

i am aware there's lots of info on this site, but I am a bit overwhelmed going through it

camping is a good idea, if you have transportation. Publicos do run, but if you want to hang at Dinghy Dock (whihc is the second thing you should do), you might do so late and then need a taxi (same as publico, but if it's just you much more expensive ..)
it all depends whether you want a bit of fun as well or just hang on the beach 24/7.

Enjoy Culebra!

Michael

You can rent camping gear from one of the kiosks adjacent to the campground. I talked to the folks at
Tent City. I think the cost was about $20 or 25 a day for a tent, with a $50 deposit. The campground charges something like $15 per night, per tent.

The rental company's phone number was 787-226-0232.

Thanks, I appreciate the replies and direction. Definitely a little more clear headed about it now.

Gonna head down with my tent/hammock and have a good time. Looking forward to some good sea kayaking and exploring.

How is the sargassum situation?
