3 days left on island????
Culebra, Puerto Rico

me and the wife have 3 days left on island including today. weather looks so so but who's to say really…so far we have:

1) completed scuba ceritication with Taz & Anne at Aquatic Adventures. An interesting learning experience : )

2) visited and snorkeled at Flamenco, Tamarindo, Melones, Zoni and Punta Soldado. Tamarindo has blown my mind!

3) Eaten at Mamacitas 3 times also Zacos Tacos, Juanita Bonitas, Verde Cafe…fyi we are vegetarian.

4) Hung out at the library to use the wifi and have dinner/movie dates on the porch

5) driven all major roads on our golf cart, the only way to go, except the road that goes parallel to the airport

So with 3 days left including today we need help in revealing any further Culebra secrets….What do you suggest?

Today we plan on finding Carlos Rosario Beach and eating dinner at Susies if open.

Most of all we wish to take a water taxi to Culebrita on Thursday…who should we call on???

many thanks,

travel light, live light, be the light...

Suggestion:

Hike to Resaca Beach and Brava Beach.

Both of these beaches require hikes of about 3/4 mile.
Resaca Beach trail head is at the end of the road that runs up the North East side of the airport. This beach is beautiful. It is perhaps a mile long and I have spent hours and even an entire day on the beach without seeing another person. The ocean views are amazing. I recommend taking lots of water and sturdy shoes. The trail leads over some rather large rocks. I've done it in flip flops but it was painful on the toes.
Brava Beach trail head is at the end of the road that runs along side the Museum. Take the road to Zoni, then turn left at the first turn after the museum. Brava Beach trail may be a little easier than Resaca Beach trail. Still, remember to take lots of water and good shoes. Brava Beach is very similar to Resaca Beach in that it is possible to pass many hours or even an entire day without seeing other people.

Enjoy Culebra,
Dave

Just one more idea,

Get a water taxi and spend a 1/2 day or day on Culebrita and explore its beaches and the light house ;0)

We went with Captain Sebastian to Culebrita. I don't have his number off hand I'll post it if I find it. Some one over at Dinghy Dock should have it. We went to the beaches and the lighthouse and the hot spring bathes. We had a great time. Also, you may want to consider just spending a day at the beach and relaxing. I have read that one of the best ways to explore Culebra is by boat.
