HI! I'm from Uruguay (sorry about my crappy english)...

My boyfriend and I want to visit Culebra in January, and we were wondering how expensive is like "living" there? we want to rent a room with a kitchenette, so we plan cooking during our stay...
How much are the bike rentals? And golf carts?
What distence is between downtown and Flamenco B?

Any accomodation you recomend?

Thank you very very much, and again, sorry about my english!!

Check Culebra Vacation Planners for places to stay -- there are lots of places with kitchens or kitchenettes, ranging from houses with several bedrooms to one- or two-bedroom places. There are also guesthouses -- we've never stayed in any of them, but I believe some have kitchen facilities as well.

Dick and Cathie rent bikes -- call for rates. The last time we were there I think it was around $17 a day. It's 2 or 2 1/2 miles from downtown to Flamenco, and it's a pretty easy bike ride -- some hills, but not steep. Or you can take a publico for $3 each way.

If you want to stay at Flamenco, you can call Esmeralda at Villa Flamenco Beach at 809-742-0023. The have 4 efficiency apartments on the second floor with kitchenette. They usually require a one week minimum in the winter.
