Strange question
Culebra, Puerto Rico

So almost everything is set for my wedding on Flamenco, but I'm not sure about one thing. A wonderful friend is going through the steps to become ordained so she can perform the wedding, however, I've looked everywhere online and called I think 8 million people to see if that would be valid. Does anyone know for sure if it would be? I'm open to any info on this, as I would hate to go through all of this just to find out it was all for naught.

Oh, and does the officiant really matter as long as the marriage licence is in order? I wouldn't know, as it's all in spanish and it may as well be in greek. I hate to keep asking questions here, but you folks shouldn't be so informative! Jk

Congrats, JK!

The answer to that may need to come from the local magistrates. Most municipalities in the US have the similar laws that the license is the marriage. Usually requires physical exams and witnesses, but as my officiating minister said, "a toaster could perform the ceremony".

My wife and I are coming to Culebra in celebration of our 20th -- a 2nd honeymoon! May you have so many happy years and more!

Thanks! No, I must have overlooked the demographic registery's address. I would assume that they will be able to answer my questions.
Thanks a bunch!!!
