Several questions
Culebra, Puerto Rico

1. Easiest and cheapest way to get from San Juan to Farjardo. Plan to leave SJ early afternoon and spend the night in Farjardo and catch ferry in the morning to Culebra.

2. Do you have to make reservations ahead of time to get the ferry and if so how and where? I would travelling there on Sunday (Nov 26 - which I believe is your Thanksgiving weekend)

3. Once on Cuelbra what is the best way to get around - I saw somewhere that one can rent a golf cart - is this good or not.

Recommendations for this and for places to stay - nice, more local not big hotels

Jac

I don't know the cheapest way to get to Fajardo, but I do know that you can call the Ferry in Culebra and buy tickets ahead of time, the number is 787/742-3161, also the best way around the Island is renting a Jeep with air conditioner, the gulf car look nice, but the Island can be hot

I don't think I'd want to be tooling around in a golf cart. AC aside, some of those hills can be mighty steep.

I'm surprised the usual suspects did not suggest you go to many, MANY posts on this forum dealing with each and every one of your queries. There is a wonderful feature on this site called search that could help you out in all things wondered (that you mentioned).

Ah for those of you who came here for a holiday (somewhat like myself who came here for a life) who didn't know exactly what the heck you were getting into, but discovered and enjoyed (or discovered and said, oh my god! take me to Cancun! St. Barts! etc. and happily knew what you wanted and this wasn't it).

Culebra is about discovery. If that sounds like something you enjoy, please do!

Hello;

We' re planning a trip to Culebra on August 7-8-9 but we are a large group of 25 people. We need to know if there a place that we all can stay.
Thanks,
Marilu

Usually that large a group spreads out over a number of local places. Unless you are really teeny tiny people, I'd check out some of the many places mentioned on this site. You don't say anything about money you want to spend, etc etc.

Maybe Bahia Marina could take 25 of you all together, but you'd definitely need transportation. They can take care of all of that as well.

Good luck...what are 25 of you all coming to Culebra to do??

Bahia Marina and Villa Fulladoza are right next to each other so maybe you could split in between each. I think golf carts are only like 10$ cheaper then jeeps. But not sure. If you all are going to flamenco beach then just take buses from the ferry. I think they show up there at like 9:30. Its 3$ a person... food wise, pinchos at the beach are 2.50$ each are good. El Batey has awesome burgers and starts about 5$. Otherwise, with that many people you might want to get a room with a stove. FYI, I think grocery stores are closed Sundays.
