hello! i am planning on arriving in culebra on wednesday april 8th and camping 3 nights. i called the campground today (787-742-0700) and the woman said i did not need reservations. however, it is supposed to be a very busy week, and the websites i have seen say to make reservations. any suggestions/ideas on who to contact? i don't want to show up and find out i have nowhere to camp. thanks for your help!

They always fit everyone in. During Easter weekend, I've been told that you couldn't walk without stepping on a tent. (Probably an exaggeration, but maybe not.)

Reservations are pretty much meaningless even if you get the office to actually let you make one. They aren't going to turn someone away just because one family has a reservation. When it's full, it's full. But I personally haven't heard of campers being turned away.

As always in holiday periods, bring earplugs and a sense of humor. If you do, it's wonderfully festive.

You'll find space for sure. And a Wednesday is a good day to arrive.

I strongly recommend Section E, even though it's a long walk. It's the prettiest section and has the best atmosphere, IMO.

Feel free to set up in a spot that doesn't look like a site. There are limited picnic tables and fireplaces, but there's a lot of room.
