how did soldier's point get its name?
Culebra, Puerto Rico

We're just now leaving PR, and after a few days in Culebra my WWII junkie husband is really curious about how Soldier's Point got it's name. We were told that one of the local legends involves two soldiers that went missing during maneuvers that were later found on the beach. Can anyone verify or dispute that this is where the name comes from? Any other info?

I was going to be a smartass and suggest that it came from plugging "Punta Soldado" into Google Translate...come to think of it...
