Public car
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Under the transport tab there's a section "getting there." It mentions that if you get to the airport before noon you can take the public car. Total about $6. How early in the morning is this provision available?

You need to get to Rio Piedras first. Once there it's not going to be too early :)

My guess is the first ones leave around 7, 7:30 AM.

Enjoy Culebra!

If you are on a serious budget, it's the way to go. But if you have some bucks to spare, you can save yourself a LOT of time (if you are talking about getting to Culebra?) either flying or getting a taxi to Fajardo. Just a thought.

Hola! The Metropolitan Bus Authority or in Spanish, AMA Autoridad Metropolitana de Autobuses starts its' services at 4:30 AM. They are now functioning for free until the end of the year. The smaller publicos you take in Rio Piedras are sometimes there as early as 5 AM from Monday-Friday. They are there on Saturdays but not as many publicos and not as early and on Sunday they sometimes are not there at all. Happy travels! J
