Thanks for all the info on Ambergris Caye. We saw an episode of "House Hunters International" from there and it looked interesting and I did a little digging on it. But, of course, if it's big enough and popular enough to be on national television, we figured we probably wouldn't like it there! And cruise ships are a definite deal breaker for us!

Having never had the opportunity to travel too much until my adult years, there are so many places I would like to see, but our hearts keep us going back to Culebra and using up all the vacations!! I am not complaining though!

Without the travel knowledge of others on this board, I appreciate the insight on the "ex-pat" relationships elsewhere. In my naivete I really had assumed that most places had the mutual respect, understanding and cooperation that Culebra's residents have. I should have know better!
