Great choice for a day. Have been there several times and worth the trip. Call Guilin 787-314-6143 He has a very nice boat. speaks english well and he is very nice. I think Culebrita is about 45 dollars per person for the his water taxi. Most taxis run about the same price.

Make sure if you go there you hike into the baths. It is like snorkeling in a fish tank.

There is no such thing as a bad vacation. Some are just better than others.

we just got back--we spent our whole time in Culebrita--went there for a day and could not get enough of it, so we kep coming back! water taxi is $40 per person, and is totally worth it--absolutely awesome, Tortuga beach is just out of this world, and empty. It was windy and crowded on Flamenco, but Tortuga beach was just perfect.

Culebrita is pretty empty if you go on a weekday. Weekends can vary. I was there on a minor holiday weekend in mid January and there were more than TWENTY boats lashed together along the beach area and another ten anchored in various places.

I've also been there when we were the only souls there.
