One year we had friends join on on Culebra. They had never been to the Rain Forest so we did do a day trip there. WE took the very early morning ferry to Fajardo and rented a car. We then drove to the Rain Forest and did many of the trails as well as going to the very top. When we finished there we stopped at Loquillo beach(not so much for the beach) but they make the best pina coladas. We then drove back to Fajardo and took the Ferry back. It is a long day. We would not have taken a day off the island if it wasn't for wanting our friends and daughter to see the Rain Forest.
Hope this helps.

There is no such thing as a bad vacation. Some are just better than others.

We're going to do a day trip from Vieques to Culebra the first week of Feb. I researched it pretty extensively and found Air Flamenco as our best option. You do have to call and they'll only sell tickets with a guarantee of 4 passengers. The round trip is $50 pp. Since my husband and I couldn't find another couple to book with us, we just paid for 4 seats $200 and they booked our flight.

There was another airline Isla Nina (I think that was the name) but they wanted a 6 person min.

There is no ferry service, I did find a water taxi but he wanted more money then paying double to fly.

Hope this helps

Ali
