Good morning,
The local beer is Madalla (to me sort of like Coors Light). There is also, coors light, heiniken, sam adams, sam adams light, & probably others can chime in as to what else is avail. A pretty good selection.

As December is high season, I would think that there's a good chance for crowds at Flamenco, however it is a long beach, so maybe walking a bit will get you some space. Too, there are other beautiful beachs as well.

Happy trip planning!

Can anyone tell me what ever happened to Cerveza India? It used to be a local beer.

They have Budweiser as well, but the cans are about 2 ounces smaller than what we have in the U.S. They cost more too!

Everything costs more on Culebra due to transportation costs.

I thought the beer was 2 ounces smaller because it shrunk during transportation ... settling ya know.

Cerveza India is still available in somplaces of Puerto Rico, I haven't ever bought it in Culebra, though. I mostly drink it in Río Piedras.

i second presidente... it's the beer i most enjoyed. don't like light beer, thus never tried medalla. presidente during happy hour in dinghy dock and mamacita's was also very affordable. no idea about flamenco in december though.

What happened to India? It used to be available everywhere in PR. I couldn't get any at Isla Verde.

Cerveza India, I used to get it in Isla V. always the best beer available in Puerto Rico. Brewed in Mayaguez. The same brewery brews Medalla. Medalla is available in San Juan, India is reserved for the western part of the island, go figure.
I pcked up a case in Vieques once. The bartener down is esperanza said,"that India, there's a funny taste," I think he was refering to the hops.
One time, there was a case of their christmas beer at Mamacitas. We tried to buy it. Clay wouldn' sell it, as he claimed it had been out in the sun too long.
