Must Eats and Must To Do's
Culebra, Puerto Rico

I will be traveling to Culebra in May for my honeymoon and are trying to get a list together of Must Eats and Must To Do's. Basically anything you think a trip to Culebra can't do without. I would really appreciate any info!

Thanks
Kat

Keeping mind that eating is very subjective,
here is a list of my own "Must-Eats" when I am on Culebra:

Barbara-Rosas (everything is good get there early)
Heathers (pizza is decent but I love the atmosphere)
Joe-Pincho (can't beat the price!)
El Batey for Lunch (cheeseburger and cold beer)

Here are my "Should-Eats":

Suzies Guarida del Zorro (is one person really turning out this food?) :-)
Juanita Bananas (Culebra's upscale treat)
El Eden (superb lunches and great wine selection)

Are there other noteworthy places? Of course! Half
the fun is exploring and trying new things!

Frank

el Batey does have the best cheeseburgers ever, but be prepared to wait. it's worth it.

Since it's your honeymoon here's a must: Kathleen D. on another thread reminded me of Tortuga Beach, around the outcrop of rocks to the North end of Zoni, pack a lunch and a bottle (well thermos - glass on the beach and all) of wine.

It's your own tiny perfect beach that hardly anyone ever goes to.

richard-
until you told everyone about it *lol* It's called Tortolo, and there are houses and development plans for that area... unless they are stopped it will not be a secluded beach for long...

Enjoy!

we really liked our day trip to luis pena, enjoyed heather's and mamacita's. the open air bar at bahia marina was also charming. ~~Wendy

Banana: is that the proper name? I never knew it really had one until someone else described it with the one I used.

I know there are already a few houses on the bluff above, hopefully it won't get too built-up (ha!)

Isn't Tortuga Beach the beautiful beach on Culebrita?

Dinghy Dock. you eat right next to the dock. It is laid back and the food is great and so is the music.
