Features
With a motorboat, you can see the “other half”
of Culebra; the part you can’t experience on land. Explore around
remote islets and observe the diverse colonies of sea birds in the
National Wildlife Sanctuary. Go to the beautiful offshore islands
Culebrita and Luis Peña, where you can swim and sunbathe on pristine
sandy beaches.
For your safety and comfort, each motorboat is equipped with:
a cell phone, life jackets (including child and infant), emergency flares
and whistle, bow and stern anchors, bimini, Culebra chart including anchorages
and moorings, swim platform and ladder, storage locker, cooler, 12 gallons
fuel, and written operating procedures.
Tank holders and maps of Culebra dive sites are available for divers.
Culebra enjoys a healthy marine ecosystem. You can scuba dive and snorkel
on protected reefs, readily accessible with CBR's motorboats. You can
spin fish for tarpon, snook, barracuda, snapper, and grouper in bays and
shoals and fly-fish for permit and bonefish on sand flats. Fishing guides,
tackle, and a push pole are available to rent or buy.

| Sail the Sunfish on Ensenada Honda, a protected, 1 x 3 mile
bay, or on Manglar and Pelá Bays. Anchor the boat and swim over clean
sandy shoals. A Sunfish is "the boat" for learning the principles of sailing,
and protected bays like Pelá and Dakity are perfect instruction areas.
In addition to all standard equipment, the Sunfish has life
jackets, Culebra chart including anchorages and moorings, and an anchor.
All boats are clean, ship-shape, seaworthy, and well equipped.
We have a shower and changing room for boat renters.
Free dockage at CBR pier.

Qualifications
Motorboat operator requirements: 25 or older, some experience
with small motorboats, in coastal waters, and with coastal navigation.
Sunfish operator requirements: 15 or older, swimming ability, some Sunfish
or similar experience.
Possible rental restrictions May-September.

Special: Six hours boating at the half-day rate. Fly to Culebra
at 10:30 AM, back to Vieques at 5:30 PM. A picturesque, 10-minute flight.
